What is Fantasy Cricket?
Fantasy cricket is building virtual teams of real players. You get points based on how those players perform in actual matches. Best team at end of match wins. You bet money on your team's performance.
How Points Work
✓ Batting: 1 point per run, bonus points for 30/50/100
✓ Bowling: 25 points per wicket, bonus for 2/3+ wickets
✓ Fielding: Catch = 8 points, Runout = 10 points, Stumping = 15 points
✓ Captain: 2x points | Vice Captain: 1.5x points
Key Strategies for Winning
Pick Form Over Fame
Just because Virat Kohli is famous doesn't mean he'll score 50+ today. Check recent form, average runs, and strike rate.
Balance Your Team
Don't pick only batsmen. Include good bowlers and all-rounders. Teams with 7 batsmen rarely win.
Captain Choice is Critical
Captain gives 2x points. Pick players who will definitely play (fit) and have high ceiling games (can score 40+).
Check Pitch Reports
Batting pitch? Pick more batsmen. Bowling pitch? Pick quality bowlers with spinners especially.
Monitor Team Injuries
Check if star players are injured before squad announcement. Backup players have way fewer points potential.
Use Differential Picks
Sometimes pick low-owned players who can go big. They score same points but less competition for your money.
Player Selection Checklist
Before picking a batsman:
✓ Recent average score (last 5 matches)
✓ Strike rate (runs per ball)
✓ Performance vs this opponent
✓ Injury status (fit or carrying knocks?)
✓ Home/Away record
✓ Position in batting order (openers score more)
Before picking a bowler:
✓ Wickets in recent matches
✓ Economy rate (runs given per over)
✓ Dot ball percentage
✓ Matches played (experience vs newcomers)
Pro Tip:
Keep a spreadsheet with player stats. After each match, update their recent form. After 10-15 matches, you'll see patterns. Use these patterns to pick teams.
